West Coast Roller Hockey Philosophy

Roller hockey is a fast paced game that appeals to people in all walks of life.  Through league play and various supplemental programs players will build the necessary skills to play the game. At the same time, they will be learning teamwork and cooperation in a fun, positive environment surrounded by caring people devoted to the game.  All of these experiences combine to help the player develop a healthy lifestyle that benefits all involved.  Roller hockey teaches critical thinking, problem solving, and provides an atmosphere that rewards hard work and dedication.  Roller hockey rewards players for engaging in positive behavior which then carries on to other aspects of the player’s life.  Research has shown that players in youth sports do better in school and have less contact with the law.   

Roller hockey helps players develop social skills that they can use throughout life.  It keeps them positively engaged and actively involved.  West Coast Roller Hockey provides a welcoming, family oriented atmosphere for players to develop and grow.

West Coast Roller Hockey will teach good sportsmanship and fair play with the understanding that character development is an essential part of our programs.
